Data & Reporting Analyst Contractor

Job description

Community Tech Alliance is looking for a Data & Reporting Analyst Contractor to drive partner solutions, develop partner deliverables, produce insightful analysis, and grow CTA’s contributions to the progressive ecosystem. Reporting to our Solutions Manager and working alongside our product and engineering teams, you will lead efforts to make CTA’s technical offerings valuable to and actionable for partners. As a Data & Reporting Analyst, you will be a key collaborator to both the CTA team and to our partners, ensuring our tools and technology enable progressive organizations to do their best work. You’ll work alongside our partnerships team to develop resources CTA provides to partners – be it code, optimized datasets, interactive dashboards, reporting templates, or documentation.

Job requirements

As a Data and Reporting Analyst Contractor, you should have: 

  • Demonstrated data analysis contracting experience and technical skills–using data, spreadsheets, SQL, and other tools to derive insights and program goals
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries using multiple disparate datasets, including voter files
  • Experience designing and building reporting dashboards, including experience with Looker Studio
  • Experience working day-to-day using a popular data warehouse, preferably in BigQuery, as well as knowledge of the Google Cloud ecosystem
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving, conflict resolution, and project management skills
  • Ability to work with, clarify, and find creative solutions for ambiguous and sometimes challenging requests from partners
  • Ability to act autonomously, thrive in a strong team environment, and be excited to work in a fully remote role
  • Ability to respond to client requests in timely manner
  • Experience creating and circulating agendas for meetings to keep projects on track
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate progress and blockers clearly and quickly

It would be nice to have:

  • Experience working as a contractor for groups in the progressive political space

Salary and Benefits

  • $115-$160/hour, compensation commensurate with experience.

  • Open to part-time or full-time, up to 35 hours per week.
